The total number of registered PLE candidates was 3,111 pupils. Of the total number of registered candidates, 47. 1% were males and 52.8 % were females implying that the district had more female candidates than male candidates. Of those who sat, 696 passed in Division I, 1,876 in Division II, 303 in Division III while 112 passed in Division IV. 41 candidates failed these exams which is 1.4% of the total candidates who sat PLE while 83 candidates did not sit the exams which is 2.7% of the total registered candidates
